Following water-based extinguishing systems are often fed by one of the following piping systems:
- Underground mains
- Hydrants
- Dry riser
- Sprinkler systems
- Spray systems
- Central fire extinguishing water supply
It is important, particularly for older systems, to periodically check whether the required capacity is still available. After all, in case of calamities, it is important to have certainty that the extinguishing system delivers what it was designed for. Piping systems get contaminated and/or corrosion deposits can limit flow and capacity.
Kiwa R2B has developed a custom build trailer. This test/measuring trailer is equipped with a calibrated capacity meter and auxiliary hoses and fittings.
